Well David...I'm sure you're disappointed.  I live in Western NY so as a Bills fan I wouldn't be disappointed to see Tom Brady defeated, but since he is going to another Super Bowl, I am rooting for the Bills to win tonight and beat Tom Brady in the Super Bowl!

Pissed off Green Bay fan, tired of Brady winning. Hopefully the Chiefs will avenge us and kill tampa bay. It hurts, all we needed was one more completion that was already in the end zone or if Adams would've been a few yards inward from the rear and we woulda beat them.

Even though I have lived in Ohio for 30 years, I still consider New York as my home town! Naturally, I would root for whatever team is from New York!

Anyway, to respond to the inquiry for chrome wing nut...when I searched on EBay Motors, My search words were "chrome wing nut for air filter", there was a long list of those with the air filter assembly...but if you scroll down you will come across several chrome wing nuts as well as customizedwing nuts. the cheapest was for $3 bucks and some odd cents as it was marketed for a Corvette. It looks like any wing nut to me, and probably would fit. There was another simple basic chrome wing nut for a pricey $24 bucks. It may be based on a better metallic base other than pot metal...your guess is probably better than mine. Good luck!

Another idea that I haven't checked would be Jegs in Columbus, Ohio.

David, what is the brand and model of the air cleaner you are using?  What carb is under it?

David,

Thanks for letting me know that you were successful in locating the part at Jegs. They do have an impressive selection of speed parts. Glad I was able to help!

Yeah, it's interesting that something that seems so common and simple would require a special order! Scary to think what's next? A light bulb?

Sure does look great.  I will be doing something similar when I get back to my project in the Spring.  Polar Vortex coming late this next week.  Good for business, but I am looking forward to Spring!

Sure are pretty cam and valve covers. Were they OEM and repainted with powder?

Missing a cam cover for my 2.0 and cannot locate one anywhere!

Agree with the classy air cleaner. How did you measure the performance increase with it?

the covers are stock,i cut out the cam cover with a jig saw.the valve cover i welded a 1 1/2 pipe on the filler hole for a breather.i made spread rails for the valve cover also, never have seen another 2.3 w/spread rails on it.NO LEAKS.then i painted them.the decal on the cover is from BEARD AUTO MACHINE.he is a 2.3 master and did my head work.his motors have won many championships at BOWMAN GRAY RACEWAY....
