Title: Front "Air Dam"
Post by: Reeves1 on April 07, 2012, 06:16:07 AM
I live an hour north of Edmonton , Alberta , Canada for those that do not know.

I've started a search for a good fiberglass guy/shop to make a mold of my front air dam. I want a spare in case of a boo-boo & maybe a second build.

Just wanted to put the word out in case others may want one.
When I get prices I'll post them up.
I will not be selling at a profit. If I get extra made I'll let them go at cost + shipping.

Reeves,

Where you at? I am 10 minutes south east of sherwood park.  Think we might have to take the horses to E-Town one night and go hunting some chevys

Reply from the one place I contacted in Alberta.

We can also build a new mold and create several more, however, I would need to see the unit to better determine pricing. Typically, you would be looking at $350/sq ft of surface area for the master and mold, depending upon complexity of the mold. Part price is determined upon length of time it takes to build, assemble & finish the part plus materials.
