Free Bird in the Stable
« on: November 13, 2013, 10:02:16 AM »
It was a Chilly morn in the Barn , even the Mice hid near the Horse..
Couldn't see the tails showing under the Flares , of course
When up in the Loft came such a commotion ..
Straw and hay flew everywhere , in kind of a chaotic motion
A gobble here and a gobble there, what could it be?
A rowdy Clucker , a barn owl, or next holiday Dinner you see?
The Stable owner strode in looking at his treasure amongst the din..
"You're Up in two weeks, you'll be done with yer Crappin of Sin!"
But off in the Corner, a pony did speak, name of "Ed"  came from his beak
"Spare that Winged idiot, It's better for you.."
"They come a ton bigger , and go by the name Emu!

So off was the master, and so was the Bird
Both leaving to deal with the piles of Turd
So now you can see how a Horse can be your salvation
Even in the Turkey of holiday nation.

I don't quite know why but this story reminded of this little story:

Once there was a robin who decided it was too much work to fly south every winter and decided to stay “up north” through the winter. Along about the end of November the first heavy snow hit and he decided he made a big mistake and started to fly south. After several hours his wings iced up and he fell to earth right in the middle of a farmer’s cow yard. As he lay there freezing to death he thought this is the end. About then a cow walks by, and as cows do, left a cow pie. But this one fell right on top of the robin. At first he thought this is really the end but soon the warm cow pie started to warm him up and he felt pretty good. He felt so good he started to sing. A cat heard this and found the bird pulled him out of the cow pie, cleaned him off and ate him!
There are 3 morals to this story:
1)      All who dump s___ on you are not necessarily your enemies.
2)      All who get you out off s___ are not necessarily your friends.
3)      If you are warm and happy in a pile of s___ keep your mouth shut!  :D

Jeesh! 200 Views! You people really get into the spirit of this Site. Does that mean we should modify this for real video? Then we could have a weekly fireside poetry reading, or maybe from under a hoist, or twin post lift... Sorry..... I'm an idea man,
Back to the couch .. Yes Doc, I was a repressed child ! ::) ???
