fordpinto.com com page not responding
« on: August 22, 2016, 05:57:01 PM »
Monday, August 22, 2016 3:30 PM PST.  I clicked on the fordpinto.com  link (http://www.fordpinto.com/index.php) in my browser bar and got the "Host Gator 404 error."  This link typically brings me to the home page of the fordpinto.com .  I then did a Google search for fordpinto.com, clicked on that link and instead of getting the Home page I got the Forum page (at least no Host Gator this time).  I ran a Malwarebytes scan and came out clean. However, it is still an hour later and I'm getting the Forum page rather than the Home page from my browser link (again thankfully no Host Gator).  Any reason why?  Even the Forum link to the Home page (upper left corner) just recycles me back to the Forum page.

I had a similar issue with the 404 error when I tried to load the site through Tapatalk on my phone. Logged on through the computer & no issue.

In my case it was a desktop computer wired through a router.

OK, I "just" (Monday Aug. 22 6:56 PM PST) saw this at the top of the page - right side: "Site in 'Basic' Mode currently.. Working to get site 'features' operational again- Welcome to yet another upgrade! Whee... Scott Hamilton"

Probably explains the issue but it sure is hard to catch your eye..

Beats me, guys... but I'm sure whenever Scott Hamilton sees this he'll have an explanation.  Unfortunately, I am not a computer guru.

Okay, just saw the explanation that Scott was doing upgrades.  That was posted while I was typing!

Just to clarify: Except for the initial "Host Gator 404" I have been able to access aspects of the site.  I assume that occurred at the point where the upgrade mode switch began and was very temporary. But the home page link still does not bring up the home page. As stated it is likely because of the upgrades being in progress.

Hey, still nice to be able to use the basic mode. Better than having the site down for the changes.  I was just concern that it might have been a virus causing the problems and was trying to rule causes out and why I mentioned it.

As always, we appreciate you advising us of any concerns or problems you encounter.  If there IS a problem, the sooner we know and can deal with it, the better!

It's working fine for me except on the phone through Tapatalk. It won't even let me log in when I enter my username & password. Seems like it's probably tied to "basic" mode
