Faster then some Pizza is delivered
« on: March 01, 2018, 09:14:39 PM »
Ok, so here is the story. I've been looking for a used (cheap) engine hoist for at least a year. They are always 100 miles away. About 6 months ago I missed out on one near by that wasn't $100+. And virtually every one was the non folding type too. A few days ago I saw this one show up. But I've been very occupied. So, I held off inquiring. This morning I got up, decide to email the guy and my Verizon (become AOL Mail) will only receive, - not send!!!  I finally got fed up and used the on line version about 5pm.

The guy emailed me right back and had a phone number attached. I figured I'd call being the Craigslist people can be flaky.  Anyway, he says some guy is also interested (for tomorrow) but whoever gets there first ... . So, though I have a cold I decided I'm going NOW. I get his address and start to gather the tools I'll need to disassemble it (to fit in the car) - and my phone rings. It's him. I'm thinking that he wants to give the other guy first crack or something and I'll have to wait and see. Instead he says he and the wife are going out to dinner and he figures why not go to where I'm at (about 15 miles away) and offers to bring it to me! I think it was only 45 minutes before I was unloading it at my house. Faster than some pizzas get delivered.
