Doors and door skins
« on: December 03, 2009, 01:41:32 PM »
Are all hatchback/sedan doors/doorskins the same?
Are 8FZ-7320124-A (R door), D7SZ-6220200-A (R door skin) the correct #'s?
Has anyone bought a door skin from Ford recently?

Thanks, Jerry

yes and no
all sedan doors will interchange but the body lines may be off by a bit. supposedly a wagon door skin will interchance as well  but  the window track is different  the wagon is taller on the  stright part.

Oookay... what is a door skin? Are you talking about the interior door panel?  ???

ahh... thank you for enlightening me. I thought door skins might've been some after-market thing if they weren't interior door panels.  :P

Phils toys,

Thanks for your help.
Ford stopped selling doors and door skins in 1988.
I found a door skin at a dealer in Pennsylvania, they received it in 1980 (30 years).
Body lines match perfectly.
