Title: Cruising wagon with Ranger dash
Post by: warhead2 on November 03, 2017, 01:34:07 AM
Saw this on Facebook page thought it was very unique and thought I would post it here so its documented.
Again this is not mine but was for sale.
They used an 05 ford Ranger dash and it fit right in. Well, that's definitely different.  Would have never thought of that!

Actually I like the dash and the EFI engine a whole lot better than the "Orange Creamsicle" color scheme.

I like the orange just fine but don't care for the two-tone treatment.

Somebody's put a lot of work into that car. I'd like to put a stainless trim strip across the roof like the 1955-56 Fairlane Crown Vics, and follow down the body side of the B-pillars. Then run a stainless strip all the way around the back of the car from the base of one B-pillar to the base of the other B-pillar. It might create the illusion of a Pinchero with a custom matched camper shell on the bed. Maybe work those big wheels and tires several inches up into the wheel wells. Just a thought.

With that dash, all that's missing is a 3 foot long shifter. Will say, the workmanship is outstanding to say the least. Show car quality for sure.

Personally I like the original dash in the Pinto.

If you want to look at a Ranger dash, buy a Ranger.

I'll second that! All that work could have been put into making the engine look better than shown.

It was done nicely, but I noticed one thing about the ranger dash , Did he hook up the Air Bags ? ? 😁

Only a good wreck will tell so I hope we will never know. Very nice car except under the hood. Doesn't look like much effort was spent there.
