Cool find at the junkyard
« on: May 13, 2012, 09:49:43 PM »
This past Saturday I went to the junk yard to get a computer for my friend's Cavalier but wasn't having any luck so I went to the Ford section to look around & see what's there. I was waltook the king around looking at the Tempos to see what I could use when I ran across a 78 Mustang II. Looking at this car I saw it was really clean & couldn't understand why it was there but since it was already in the yard its life was done. The only spot that I saw a problem with was the left front had been hit & had damaged the windshield at that point. I was so thrilled to see that car I started getting parts off it for my 77 Pinto. I got the silver wiper arms, air cleaner tube, choke wire & starter solenoid. I plan on going back Wednesday to go after the power brake set up, and also the power steering lines & who knows what else. Saturday I am gonna try to get a section of the floor so I can use it to fix the Pintos floor. First old car in a long time in this junkyard & I'm gonna take full advantage of it to keep my Pinto on the road!
