Charlie's Angels....and Fords
« on: November 10, 2013, 06:45:48 PM »
Interesting to catch one of these episodes today. Sorry I can't remember the characters names, I believe Kate was driving an orange/white glass hatch model (think it was a '77), I believe Farrah had a Cobra II Mustang white with blue accents, and I believe Jaclyn had a white Ghia Mustang with a half black vinyl roof. Of course Bosley had a big old Thunderbird!. The show was dated a 1975 but I doubt it, since the Thunderbird and Orange Pinto both looked like '77 models.
Interesting how shows from the seventies were sponsored by Ford and others. There were so many Fords in the episode, several Pintos, Mustangs, Galaxies, Thunderbirds.. ..it's so great to see the nostalgia, vehicles, and clothing of the time. The episode was called "Consenting Adults".

Perhaps the "Consenting Adults" regarded not letting children see the horror of Kate Jackson driving a Pinto that might potentially burst into flames.  Things like that can terrify a child and scar them for life from driving Ford products.  LOL
