Title: Casting a front 77 turn signal lens?

Has anyone tried to make new lens? by making a mold and casting new lens with plastic resin . I've looked and have not found any NOS or found anyone talk about casting new parts.

Probably not cost effective and no demand is probably why nobody makes them, wonder how many you'd have to sell to recover the cost???, be a cool deal to do though..

Try looking at (ford pinto nos) for new ones.

My son does 3D printing I'll ask him if that is feasible.  That said, it you resin cast from the original you get the DOT ID too. You might consider cutting down a lens from something larger. I find that a cut-off wheel and a grinder with light pressure cut plastic well. Cutting with a saw usually grabs and cracks the plastic.

If 3D printed it would have to be a UV protected plastic. As for price for the resin would after making a mold. I think it would be between 16 to 30$ per lens if you where to sell them to make a small profit.
