Car transport needed

 I need some info/help. Im looking into buying a car located in Summitville NY. I need to transport it to San Diego Calif. I have looked at the several web site that offer this type of service. Do any of you guys know anybody that does this??

It usually costs about 800-1000 to ship a car from coast to coast, tho' usually they are going the other way (west coast back east). Cost also involves wheither or not you want the car inclosed or on an open trailer.

Hemming Motors usually has ads (http://hmn.com) but I've never had any experiences w/ car transporters.

You might want to search some of the high end car forums for comments on shipping companies. Porsche guys are here:

I've researched shipping a car, but I never followed thru. In most cases it would cost more then the initial purchase price of the car.
