Hi all,
My 72 cargo wagon was built in Canada according to the door sticker. Have any of you ever seen any info on this. Ive been trying with no result to find a factory picture of the cargo wagon and where in Canada ford had a plant!
The previous owner of my pinto had a video of it with a small hood scoop on it. Did some off the Pintos that had the factory 302 have hoodscoops? If they did and I could get a picture and a hood like it, I may be able to put collector plates on it. Wisconsin changed there plate laws as of March 1st

none of the pintos came factory with a v8....

Does it say it was manufactured in Canada, or does it say it was manufactured to meet Canadian standards? They mean different things. And, no, a Pinto never came with a V-8.
BTW, stranger things have been known to happen. About 7,000 Sunbeam Tigers were manufactured in England and shipped to other countries (mostly the USA). It was some 20+ years later the most knowledgeable Tiger people in the USA found out there were about 80 cars that were sold as "Knock Down Kits" (for tax purposes) to South Africa. http://www.classictiger.com/mudge/book/book1.htm Scroll down to "Chapter 7 / African Violets."

My first Pinto, a 1974 wagon, was a Canadian Pinto. Im pretty sure they made some of them in Canada. Or some components. But it sure had a lot of metric bolts.

Canadian Pintos were made in St. Thomas, Ontario.
