Rear window for trunk model needed...
« on: October 20, 2012, 10:14:20 AM »
Well, I will first say hello to everyone on the site as I've had a brief departure from posting and lurking for a few months...busy work schedule and other issues emerging.
Anyhow, I started re-energizing my Pinto mania with some restorative work on my '79 Sedan. New weatherstrip seals for doors, trunk, and rear glass ordered from Steele Rubber Products (seem like a very good company, high quality product and excellent cust service) and so the rear glass is successfully removed in one piece and stowed in a seemingly safe place.....
Except it wasn't a safe place. Long story short I have glass fragments all over the rear of my garage and my sedan is indefinitely missing a rear glass until I find a replacement. As if the weatherstrip repairs weren't pricey enough already....
So if anyone close to Ripley, WV (on the Ohio River) has one, knows of one etc for local pickup, let me know. Other offerings I will entertain as well, I just don't like dabbling with shipping glass. Do it enough at my 8-5 (Parts Manager at GM store) and see lots of it come in broken in the bottom of the box...I already have that much.  >:(
Thanks!
