I am planning on adding aftermarket A/C to my car and a previous owner already upgraded the radio, so I was going to get a 100 amp alternator for my car. The 100 amp though is a one wire alternator and I wasn't sure how it would hook up as there are three wires connected on the stock one. It is listed as fitting this make and model of vehicle (a 1976 pinto with 2.3L). Any thoughts?

I seem to have found an answer to my own question here. Basically you just hook up a wire to the positive battery terminal to the one wire hook up on the alternator and voila! there you have it. Recommended 8 gauge wire for 4 feet and 100 amps.

Yep, and you can either eliminate the stock alternator/regulator wiring or just tape it up & wrap it into the harness & leave it incase you ever need it again.
That single wire can also be run to the solenoid where the battery cable connects instead of direct to the battery if you prefer.

I did see that as well, but I think it'd just be easier to do the one wire right from the battery. I wouldn't know all the wiring to remove so I'll probably just wrap it into the harness.
