77 pinto stock tachometer
« on: June 01, 2016, 01:50:17 PM »
As the in dash stock tachometer is not cable driven and works by wire connected to coil the way it looks. In changing over to an  EFI engine and wiring harness from the 86 Ranger, I have taken out the old coil and box for spark control. I am now wondering how to wire the tach so it will work again. Maybe tapping into plus side of the newer style coil I have mounted in from the 86 Ranger? Haven't really seen anything on the forums yet.

Just hook you tach signal wire to the TFI coil if I remember correctly the wire color should be green possibly with a red stripe
