Is it possible to bolt one of these up to a 2.3L or do they require a lot of modification to work with our engines?  Thanks!

sure you can bolt one up, find a 2.3 bellhousing from a 2.3L engine with a a4ld,  now getting it to work will be a problem, you'll either need a controller or get a valve body from a a4ld even then you'll still need to run power to the convertor lockup and the OD solinoid, some of the later mustang a4ld's had a detent for OD so you'd need a shifter that has a 1,2,d and OD..
