You can't tell so much from that particular photo, but I've seen pictures of the same car from other angles and it actually only had the rear door on the driver's side... the passenger side was left stock.  Art's correct; it didn't get anywhere.

Here's one that shows it, you can see the single door post behind the front seat..

I can tell you why it didn't go too, just like Tempos, the seat back is BEHIND the post, meaning big guys have to sit sideways on seat and then twist and fall back into the car. You couldn't count all the times people made fun of me getting into one of my Tempos say at the end of work day, a running joke there. You look like an idiot getting into the car.

I have a '61 Corvair station wagon.  The front door, end to end, doesn't look that small. But compare the window glass in the front to that of the rear door and there is a noticeable difference.  That seems to be a similar case with the 4 door Pinto wagon. Oh, and BTW, that is NOT my car.  Mine is a horizontal storage cabinet.

I really like that 4-door, or 3 door model. It looks cool, probably because they didn't make them! If they did and didn't have the 2-door I bet people would be making a 2 door model of it :)
Vehicles:

- 1972 Plymouth Duster (To be a Pro Street)
- 1973 Ford Pinto wagon (registered ride 195)
- 1976 Mustang II mini-stock
- 1978 Mustang King Cobra II
- 1979 Ford Pinto Runabout
- 1986 Chevy K5 Blazer
- 1997 Suzuki Marauder

The car doesn't look much longer than the 2 door model.

Have you gotten into a Dodge Caliber?

I got in one and the seat was pretty far back for the tall owner and I was sitting behind the B pillar.  I was not comfortable in that car at all.

I can see what you mean about this design.

I always feared accident and getting trapped in car easier. Having to get out QUICK......... ..that sort of thing.
