How do you plan on using the engine? I've never actually heard of anyone using them, even with pretty lumpy hydraulic cams.

They're actually hydraulic lash adjusters, by the way. There are only finger followers and lash adjusters in the 2.3. I know most parts suppliers call them lifters, but hey,

'72 Runabout - 2.3T, T5, MegaSquirt-II, 8", 5-lugs, big brakes.
'68 Mustang - Built roller 302, Toploader, 9", etc.
