I tried to find post stating that the s shaped intake for 2.3 is hard to come by.I have one I think. It has 0046 TWM on top of intake mounting flange.I do not need it anymore.so it is up for sale.I need to check on pricing.PCCA members get first dibs and better price.I avoid eBay anymore. Thanks .

In 42 years of Pintos I have never seen or heard of a S shaped 2.3 intake. All were the same with only the floor under the carb different and the non Pintos intake with d not s shaped ports. To sell it you will need pictures.

Dick ,
I'm sure he has a TWM Individual Runner offset manifold P/N 8-0046 for throttle bodies or Weber DCOE series sidedrafts. Those are NLA unless Esslinger still offers them. That S offset clears a stock distributor and master cylinder.

Yes it is made for side draft carbs. My bad for not giving that info.

If only this was for the German 2.0

Pretty cool stuff. I am amazed at all the changes. I never knew until earlier today that the 2.0 started as a German engine. This page has a lot of stuff:

Pretty cool!

i believe i read that Ford took 2.0 and just changed the dimensions and thus 2.3 was born.Supposedl y for legal reasons about rights to 2.0 design. Please correct me if i am wrong.

The 2.0 EAO German motor has nothing in common with the 2.3 L Lima ( Ohio made) motor. The design was completely different and the EAO motor had more in common with a 1.6L cross flow Kent motor than any other engine in Ford's lineup. There is a 2.0 litre version of the 2.3Litre for the Ford Courier pickups, but it has nothing in common with the EAO 2.0 litre motor, it's a smaller displacement version of the 2.3L Lima.

Thanks.Just merely changing measurements would not bypass copyrights.Cam on one comes out front the other back. There are similarities on overall design.2.8 is german design too if i remember. One other bit of info(and from Ford book)100mph was the factory top speed for 1972 2.0 auto.I verified that but may have went faster.

SO after all the above, what are you asking for the intake?
-
$50 plus shipping.From east Tennessee.
-
Is your intake still available? If so, I'll take it. Please let me know the total price with shipping to zip 14568.
Thanks,
Steve
