Pinto Wall Art, Idea
« on: June 07, 2012, 10:15:37 AM »
Was looking at my wall the other day in my room. I have one wall that is completely blank.

Was surfing Ebay and came across some fenders & quarter panels.

Had an idea come to me. What if I was to take a quarter panel or fender, and paint it some color (to protect it from rust) and then either hand paint or use decals of pinto-related things on it, and then hang it on the wall. Was thinking across the top of the fender (long narrow section) have some kind of sunset with a pinto driving by, maybe a horse running behind it symbolic of the pinto logo.

What do you guys think? Would diffidently be different & unique.

That sounds like it would be cool... I've heard of some interesting things being placed on walls so why not a fender! Especially with how you described it. Really sounds neat!

Had a very bent fender, complete with decals, off of my race car, on the shop wall since 1986. Very good reminder of where to stick your front bumper.
Its better to be a has-been, than a never was.

I've had a rear bumper & decklid off one of Jeff Gordon's Luminas, a hood off John Andretti's K-Mart/Little Caesars T-Bird & The nose off a Mike Bliss supertruck hanging on my garage walls for years. They make excellent decorations.
