I want to replace the lexan windshield in my 72 Pinto [old race car] with a standard glass one[DOT]. I know there are two sizes.I am working with a pro. glass guy.We tried a new windshield and new gasket for a 72, but it seemed to small, by a 1/4 to 1/2 inch wide. Glass guy called distributor for size of one for 78 and the size was smaller.?????
Now the question---What is the size of the windshield for a 72 and a 78 from top to bottom in the center measured from the outside and the size of the windshield measured left to right at bottom widest point from the outside? Glass guy said he has gotten glass made outside USA that was made wrong.
