Which door handle to body gaskets fit Pintos
« on: July 11, 2012, 04:03:11 PM »
I found the lock cylinder gaskets but can't locate the door handle gaskets. Does anyone know if the ones for older Mustangs work?

Thanks for the offer. I have a few used ones as well but I've replaced so much on this car I'd like to toss new ones on it if I can find them.

Something has to use the same gaskets, it would be nice to have a parts/vehicle cross reference.  My last vehicle I restored was a Scout and it required a list of GM, Jeep, and Dodge parts and even though a lot of them used the same parts # at the parts warehouse they still didn't cross reference in their computer.  I guess that's part of the fun of restoring an "oddball" :P

Maybe try an earlier model Mustang? CJ Pony Parts has stuff 20% off right now and free shipping so I can't imagine they'd be that expensive to try.  Hope that helps...Let us know if you go that route.  They look similar to me, but I can't be certain.
