My car has a battery from Advance Auto Parts, the part number is 26R-2 that should give the correct size battery. Or look at online stores like AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts etc. and do a part search for your make and model.

You CAN fit a wider one but don't............. .....the exhaust heat will melt it. You certainly want to use that metal side cover that is part of the mount they come with.

The BCI group size there shows a 56 series battery, you then get parts store to look that up.........

Are you firing up a pinto that's been sitting for a while? If so, there are bound to be a myriad of other issues that can ruin the ride home, at best.
