What Trans Do I Have?
« on: February 09, 2012, 10:50:29 AM »
Just a simple question, but can't find anything on it.

Looking for the name of the transmission I have in my Pinto. It is the factory, 4-Speed Manual with reverse in the upper left corner (to the left of 1st gear).

Also looking for the gear ratios for the transmission.

Thanks!

Probably a Ford FOG, but could be a Borg warner we well. I cqnt remember if the Borg earners were even used in late models or not.

Forgot to add, the car is a 1980 Pinto, but the date of manufacture was Sept. 1979

the door tag, if it's still on the car, may provide some help to identify by the code

I don't know what the codes stand for but... somebody else might
