custom headliner
« on: September 09, 2016, 01:46:13 PM »
hey guys,

has anyone done a custom headliner on a wagon before? I'm thinking about making my own headliner board so I can get some 70s fabric or shag carpet up there like in the boogie vans. I believe it will add about an inch of headroom in the back too, which would be nice. anyone have any tips or advice? any info is appreciated!

p.s. if anyone is selling 3 gauge cluster (fuel, volt, temp) contact me. please.

thanks!

I got real excited when I found a 3 gauge cluster in a junk car. But I found:

1. The original gauges in them were pretty junky. They are an oddball 2 1/2 inch size. The only gauges that small are a 3 gauge VDO set.
2. The water temp gauge is not accurate.
3. In the end, I will pay a machine shop to fabricate a metal bezel to house 3 3" VDO gauges- Oil pressure, amps, and 3" tach. I really want a tach and can do without water temp, since it is so inaccurate.
