Title: Wagon rear door seal - what to use?

Wanting to replace my wagon rear door seal. Since these are not reproed, does anyone know what options there are? Do I correctly recall someone suggesting a Ranger door seal as a possible alternative for this? Thanks.

I have heard people say that. From what I understand it is a little longer but that's it.

The door seal from a 1999 or newer Ford ranger works perfect. Should be easy to find in a wrecking yard.  There is a dealer on EBAY selling wagon rear hatch seals for $40. Depends on how much you want to spend.  Also do a search on this site, several people have done this.  Good luck  :) :)

Yes........... . it is about 4 or 5 inches too long.  Do you have a pair of scissors? Got a perfect one from junkyard for $10.

if you use a ranger you need a extra cab one, regular cab is 8inches too short!!!

I saw the one on Ebay for $40 too. I was wondering if it fits a hatchback myself.

There is also this one that comes in a 15 foot roll for the MII hatch. Anyone tried it for a fit on a wagon or hatch?

I found this at JC Whitney and it works great. There's enough material for 2, so go in on it with a buddy.

I just got one of the $40.00 gaskets. It fit but you do have to cut to fit, not really hard. Also you need to remove the metal plate on the floor to remove and install the gasket. I would buy the new gasket and not worry about buying a used one. The new gasket fixed a long standing problem I had on my wagon, the back door leaked and made alot of noise when I when over a speed bump now no leak and no noise. Buying a used one really doesn't make any sense to me, the hatch seals differently than a door  but you could use it... The shop on eBay was a fast shipper as well. I mean it's your car and your money. I'd rather spend the money and not have to worry about it for as long as I own it..I mean there are somethings I get cheap but a weatherstrip is not one of them , these things keep the water and wind out.....And keep the car from rusting where you can not see it until it's to late....I have some corrosion control to do on my car's hatch area nothing major but I'm glad I found it...
