Title: Wagon leaf springs vs Mustang II?
Post by: russosborne on July 04, 2014, 03:58:45 PM
Since I know that both are longer than the sedan/hatch versions, I was wondering if anyone knew if they happened to be the same length?
Just curious. I know that I can buy new ones.  ;D
Thanks,
Russ

Seems like when junking my M II after buying the Pinto wagon I got under car and measured to find the M II springs were too wide as well so didn't keep them.......bee n awhile though. I wanted to keep leafs to be able to add to my wagon leaf assembly if needed.

I'm in the process of replacing the leaf springs on my 78 Bobcat wagon right now, and here's where I got the springs from - http://www.generalspringkc.com/product_p/42-781.htm - cost me $131.01 (per side) with shipping....

Thanks,
Like I said, I know I can get the springs. I was just curious if Ford managed to use the same part on two different cars, which they do have a tendency to do, but not in this case it seems. :-)

Front suspension same  but strut rod a bit different. I transferred '74 M II front end to a '80 Pinto.
