vacuum setup on 1980 Pinto
« on: July 19, 2012, 11:25:52 AM »
Hey guys, those of you that have followed my post for my 1980 Runabout know of my issues with fire. Anyways, due in part of the previous owner and in part of the engine fire I need some assistance with the vacuum lines. Bill AKA Blink77 sent me a vacuum line setup for a 1980 but the problem I have is even before the fire it wasn't really correct. Can anyone take a pic of their vacuum line set up on their Pinto? My 77 doesn't have nearly all the vac lines as my 80 so I can't go to that car for reference & want it to be hooked up correctly, including any connections to the air cleaner.

Thanks in advance!

A few years back I posted the vacuum line routing from my dads all original 79 wagon.  This may help answer some of your vacuum line routing questions. Here is the link http://www.fordpinto.com/general-help/vacuum-connections-for-a-79-4cyl/msg52925/#msg52925

Gerhard, that's perfect! Just what the doctor ordered. Much better than the vacuum diagram in the 1980 Ford Pinto electrical/vacuum book

Thanks!
