Title: Vacuum lines

Does anyone have a vacuum hose diagram for a '74 Pinto 2.3? I am surprised as heck that I cant find one out there on the net!

I have one covering the HVAC system but not the engine.  It does not post clearly here so it would need to be emailed.  If wanted, pm me your email address and I will send a readable copy to you.

If in the big city try reference section of public library, they have them often in the automotive section.

They will be in a Ford service manual, the vacuum lines one for that year of Fords.

Just EXACTLY what smog parts do you have there, the running of lines to many of them is very simple........ .......some though get quite convoluted depending on how many vacuum/temp switches are in there.

As I said in the carb post the cars will run fine without the smog and forever.

I have the entire series service manuals for For for 1974, a lucky score on ebay. Unfortunately, the vac line pics arent in there. I may be missing something. I agree. Every car in my life (65 years) Ive de-smogged has run better. Im in the act right now of removing the line that goes from the ex manifold to the egr valve. Found it split and leaking. Already made a block off plate to go where the egr valve went. Dont think that will make any diff tho.

It MIGHT, EGR valves sometimes stick slightly open from carbon buildup on the edges and a solid vacuum leak there if so.

Just in case, SAVE the exhaust supply gas line at least with the fitting into the valve itself, that fitting is an oddball one that you will play hell to replace if lost and needed.

Ive already run it with the egr blocked off. No diff. Just going to remove the split line.
