Title: vacuum line diagram
Post by: lmgoldstein on September 17, 2016, 11:01:46 PM
I have a Pinto Engine 2.0 I think.  It is sitting in my M38a1 Willys Jeep.  Long story short I have this vacuum line.  It connects where I am pointing my screw driver.  Anybody knows where it goes?  Thanks

Usually the second vacuum port on a vacuum module is to retard the ignition for smog purposes. Typically there was for lack of a better term a manual "computer" that sent manifold vacuum and coolant temperature and controlled when the retarding occurred through relays and solenoids. Doing so (retarding the ignition) will hurt power and mileage. I'm guessing the previous owner did not install it - all to the engines betterment.
