So this chat box showed up recently on this site. I am a bit illiterate when it comes to these things. I don't understand how it works. I tried typing in the box but no one responds. Do other people get am alert that you are trying to talk to them? Can someone help an old fart understand how to use this?
Thank you

there has to be other people in the chat room to talk to. and they have to want to talk back to you.
Right now it is saying there is 1 person on chat, so he\she is talking to himself. You can set up a time with others to meet there to chat if you want. Not sure how many can be chatting at once, that varies depending on the site and software.
I never use it myself..
Hope this helps a bit.

Hi guys!

Anyone who is logged in on the site is available for chat.  If you click on the box, the names of the members who are available will pop up.  Select the one you want, click on it and greet them - it will pop up on their screen and you can engage in a conversation.  Scott Hamilton and I tested it when he added it to the site and it actually works pretty well.  Give it a try and let us know what you think!
