V6 camshaft end play help
« on: July 24, 2014, 02:24:55 PM »
I am re building my V6 and installed the camshaft yesterday. The book says end play should be about .006  I have close to double that. The camshaft is new and the bearings are new.

any ideas on what could cause this?

Thanks

Wear in the cam setting plate. Or new cam out of spec.
