Steering Wheel Advice?
« on: January 15, 2013, 03:18:25 PM »
Okay, I'm building my Pinto in the fashion of using parts from 1995 back.

Examples: Using a 90's fry-cook basket for the center console, a shift knob from an '88 Isuzu Trooper in preference to the "T" handle, and an whip antennae from a 80's Malibu cop car mounted on my back bumper. (Donated the Pinto's antennae to my brother's go-kart.)  ::)

So, here comes the million-dollar questions:
-What steering wheels will fit my stock column without any adapters? (Maverick? Charger? Ranchero? Bel-Air? Fox-Bodys?)
-What rim/tires will fit? (without altering or use of spacers of any sort)

-And any other cheap, fun little alteration ideas would be nice!

Cheers
-James
Bought my Pinto in '12, last tagged in '97. Had it on the road (thanks to a $20) spring '14. Tima to tear it apart, fix it correctly this time....and play with the drive train. Got a totally free & complete drive train-engine, 5 speed, drive shaft, and computer!

I'd like to get 'em all..but the shipping would be killer. Is the steeringwheel the GT one?
