Anyone know where I can get an aluminum valve cover for my 2.0?  I see them but I can not find one, any help would be appreciated

I bought a nice looking valve cover from an '80's T-bird off ebay.  When I get home from work I can take and post a pic.  I have seen pictures of Ford Motorsport valve covers for a 2.3 that look cool but I haven't seen any for sale.  I once saw a Ranger in a junk yard that had a nice looking valve cover so that might be a source.

After posting I realized you have a 2.0, not a 2.3.  Sorry for the confusion.  It seems like the English have a lot of these motors and may have sources for valve covers.

Someone posted an ad in the classifieds.fo r a mikey thompson valve cover awhile back.

Not sure how an aluminul cover works on a pinto but i put one on an mgb and the aluminum cover transferred a lot more of the valve clatter and since it was more rigid and less flexible than the tin one was a lot more difficult to seal.

None of these suggestions will work, you will need to find a car with a kent engine, you are best off looking for a 70s english Ford

Heres the li k to the mikey thompson  over..

https://www.fordpinto.com/classifieds/?sa=view;id=4113

You might also check.with Racer Walsh in florida..

If you do have a 2.0 the 2.0 is an overhead cam and the "kent" engine is a 1600 cc pushrod engine.. totally different.

I second the idea of just staying with the factory steel.cover..

Just get clean it ul and repaint if necessary.

Duplicolor has a color called "Old Ford Blue" 5hats pretty close to the original.

Ethe new ford blue is way too light..

I have a nice one that was on the Pintoracer. Black with brushed aluminum fins on top. It has an aluminum screw in oil cap. Worked great on my car, no issues. I'll even include a gasket. Perfect condition. $100 + shipping. PM your cell # and I'll text a picture.

That sounds nice and a fair price.  The one I bought from a 2.3 T-bird is going to get the same black/brushed aluminum fin treatment when I get my engine the way I want it.  Just like my "Cobra Powered by Ford" valve covers on my Mustang...
