If it is a turbo car run a straight thru, non chambered, non
reverse flow type muffler.
Give me more info on the car.

i agree with 99 on this... if its turbo you dont want any backpressure.. .. the turbo already provides this for you..... if you like it a little loud i run the napa 8"x3" race bullit... 60 bucks.... on dads turbo wagon we run a magnaflow and its a real nice mellow sound that flows great....just over 100

I'm running an 85 tbird 2.3l turbo, with the air to air IC tube, The factory T3 turbo , brown top injectors, 87 upper intake and throttle body, LA3 cpu, Lg VAM, 87 T5 , aerostar driveshaft, 78 Pinto 3.40 open gear 8" rearend from a 78 v6 Pinto . The factory down pipe is currently necked down to the factory(OLD) exhaust.  I'm ready to change today.

The hot setup is to go to a 3 in down and
keep it all 3 in with a straight thru muffler.

Keep to a straight thru muffler,no chambered type as it will kill
15-30 or more hp.

Summit sells inexpensive "turbo" mufflers the exact dimensions of the stock Pinto muffler (at least for my '77 wagon) with your choice of in- and out-tube size.

You can see the corner of mine in my 3" exhaust:

Running a Summit 3" cat also.

It's not bad....the Walbro is noiser at idle.  The turbo is louder when boosting.

It's hard to quantify  8)  I have perhaps 4 rolls of modern sound deadener installed.
