Coil springs
« on: December 22, 2012, 05:55:20 PM »
Hi I'm new  to the site, just purchased my pinto a couple of weeks ago.  I noticed a bad noise from the front, I thought it was the ball joint but, when i pulled the wheel off to investigate, I noticed my coil spring is broke completly in half.  I was wondering, if there is any difference in the pinto and mustang ll? I was also wondering, if the spindles are the same?  There is one in the junkyard near me that I got the rear-end out of.  Thanks

yes the spindles are the same,  Get a new set of 2.3 l springs from the aftermarket. they are cheap and the mustangs will have suffered the same fate. Rusted and broken.
Modest beginnings start with the single blow of a horn man..    Now when you get through with this thing every dickhead in the world is gonna wanna own it.   Do you know anything at all about the internal combustion engine?

Go to springsnthings .com and order the correct parts.....Orde r enough to do both sides, if one is gone the other will follow...They also have all of the rubber parts etc and most hardware. Look them up unlike some places supension parts are all they do.
