THROTTLE ACTUATOR 77 PINTO W/2.3
« on: November 13, 2016, 12:13:13 PM »
I have a 77 Wagon, I am finishing, I finally have the fuel issues resolved (set to rich) Now I need to add an actuator to the carb as it is an auto C-4 It has an electrical connector , and I havn't a clue where to hook it up, I have the vacuum hooked up it goes to an electrical vacuum control on the firewall, yellow in color, one vacuum line goes to the manifold to the controller, while the second vacuum goes to the actuator itself, It all will not work till I figure what color wire on the harness it connects to !  CAN ANYONE HELP HERE ?

Thank You

I do not have a 77 Pinto, so I am not sure what you are asking.  If you are asking about the wire to carb electric choke heater, my 77 schematic shows it as white with black hash marks.  The wire is one of the wires tying the voltage regulator to the alternator and to the choke heater.

If your 77 Pinto has the Sports Option, the carb choke heater wire comes straight from the alternator and is white with pink hash marks.

The 77 Pinto schematic also shows a carb throttle solenoid with red with yellow hash mark wire that is hot when the ignition switch is in the run position.

The 77 Pinto schematic also shows a carb valve control solenoid with a red with light blue hash wire from the starter relay.  It has a second wire white with pink dots going to a coolant temperature switch.
