Thoughts/advice about keeping/selling a '76 2.3/auto Pinto.
« on: April 01, 2014, 11:11:15 AM »
Hello all… I have a bit of a quandary and perhaps you could help me.
I got my old ’76 2.3/auto Pinto back.
While it was gone the roof got jumped on, the fuel pump went bad, and the starter got glitchy.
I changed the fuel pump and got it running great again. I haven’t been able to change the starter and my porta-power leaks, so I haven’t pushed the dent out yet.
It will still start if the solenoid decides to pull the starter gear out.
Thing is, I am thinking about selling it,  and I will either sell it to someone who will give it a good home, or keep it and hot rod it with the V-8 kit I have for it,.
The car has just over 100,000, runs and drives good, good tires, new heater core in a box, factory AC that worked when I sold it.
Really need to either have it gone in the next couple of weeks (divorce house/shop sale) if it is going.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Mike
