SVO master cylinder
« on: June 18, 2012, 11:18:10 AM »
Hi All,
I'm looking to replace the stock master cylinder with one that is set up for 4 wheel disc brakes and I've read on the forums that some have used the SVO Mustang unit.  Is this a direct bolt in swap?  It appears to look almost the same other than the outlets are on the passenger side of the master cylinder.  The car is fantastic in the power and handling department but lacking when it comes to the whoa pedal.
Thanks,
Greg

a 88-92 ranger m/c bolts right on and is easy to get so id look for the same model explorer with discs and use that over the svo m/c... you might need adapter fittings where the lines attach to the m/c though...

The master cylinder fits on the stock vacuum booster ?  Cool but I think the brake line fittings are SAE and the Rangers are metric.
