dual brake booster?
« on: April 15, 2016, 10:07:54 PM »
I've installed 4wheel disk brakes on my 75 pinto.11" front/10"rear.I don't have enough brake pressure.I've purchased a 8" dual brake booster and 1" master cylinder combo, aftermarket streetrod stuff. I'm sure I can get it all working but I'm hoping someone out there has done this conversion and can help me  with advice to save me a bunch of time and mistakes.thank s

I am no expert on this, but my general knowledge it that the smaller the M/C diameter the easier the braking effort, but the further the pedal has to travel. And, if you run out of travel ...   :o .  In general the 1" M/C seems kind of large, but that may be necessary for the volume of the 4 calipers.  Does you car have a booster on it now?  Sometimes I've found it helpful to search Google Images to see (visually) what I'm looking for rather than reading pages of stuff, only to find it doesn't contain what I need.  Sorry I have nothing else to offer. Hopefully some else will chime in.
