Title: Steering wheels that would fit a 1980 pinto?
Post by: MitchiePinto on September 25, 2012, 06:54:45 PM
Right now I've got a stock wheel but since the cars converted to standard and I'm 6'1 my legs keep hitting the steering wheel when depressing the clutch and I just feel so crammed in the thing even with the seat back. I noticed thunderbirds have a tiny steering wheel. Need to know what would fit a 80' pinto with no fabrications needed and look some what stock.

Try a grant steering wheel in 13" or so and get the install kit.I currently have the chrome 3 spoke and it works. However it will block some of the speedometer in the middle due to it's smaller diameter. Or you could go to mustangii.net and check out a tilt steering wheel swap .
