Title: Steering Rack Help Needed Fast
Post by: 13Pinto13 on July 05, 2007, 07:11:09 PM
HELP Needed!!  I have a 74ish Pinto Race Car, and the steering has stripped of the steering rack.  The part that connects the steering shaft to the rack has a part that looks like a battery terminal, and it has a bolt that tightens it up.  I cannot find a socket that fits that bolt.  I the best I have found is a 12mm, but it starts to strip it.  The 11mm is too small and none of my english sizes fit either...  Also, is the shaft from the steering rack replacable?   Please email me at Raiderdavid196 6@aol.com  I am trying to get it fixed before Sat.
