Hi guys, im in the process of swapping a 2.3 turbo into my 76, all the works being done at my dads and im at home and was planning on ordering a few things for the swap. Does anybody know what size the steel fuel and return lines that run to the tank are? Im pretty sure they are 5/16th? but i just want to make sure before I place the order.

Are you going to plumb it with steel line or High pressure EFI line ad factory style fittings?

I was thinking of doing a double flare coupler with more steel line up to the fuel rail, or doing a AN style with tube sleeve and 37 degree flare with some braided high pressure lines up to the AN sae quick disconnects.

I got 5/16 on my 76. Didn't have to replace any though. I just flushed them out and pressure tested them to 70lbs. I just put the flexible lines up to the fuel rail and the same out back with the pump. I run a fuel cell with fats, not a tank.

I wasn't really planning on replacing any, just extending to get it up to the fuel rail. So yours was 5/16th for supply and return?

I think there were 2x5/16 lines and a 1/4 line for the evap system. I'm not sure I would go with solid lines to the fuel rail. At least with mine, the engine vibration and torquing would certainly cause metal fatigue and leaking. I used the fuel rail connectors that came with the tbird donor, put new rubber on them and put them in. I would highly recommend leaving some flexibility between the hard lines and the fuel rail.

Ok cool, ill probably do the flexible an style hose with a 37 degree flare. The original lines where screwed when the motor was pulled for me, not a big deal as he through in the 86 svo harness and pe ecu.
