Nuts and bolts (hardware) keep original or replace?
« on: October 05, 2018, 03:23:20 AM »
Mainly talking suspension right now.
As I am completely redoing the front suspension, I am wondering if I should reuse the original hardware or buy new?
For example Speedway sells these
https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Speedway-Mustang-II-Upper-Control-Arm-T-Bolts,2101.html
I asked them where these are made, all they would say was "These are sourced from an international supplier".
Not that impressed.

So, old probably made in the USA or new made probably in China?

Unlike my 74, the 79 has all the hardware unless I manage to break something taking it apart/putting it back together.

Thanks,
Russ

If this was a concours  car, (did I spell that right?) It would make a difference. I am for new parts when ever you can get them.

Thanks.
That was my thinking, just wanted to see if anyone had any other thoughts.
