SPEEDOMETER GEAR 18 tooth- Stock 2000cc 4Spd
« on: October 26, 2014, 04:37:44 PM »
Question,

I have a presumable stock 2000cc 4speed but I put 14" wheels which made the speedometer incorrect. I just removed the cable and gear, (replacing finally) and counted 18 Teeth. What tooth number do I need to try? Do I go to the 19-20 or the 17 tooth gear?

If I remember correctly, she was 5MPH over what I was actually going- you gotta love today's technology and GPS...

If speedo shows 40 and you were actually going 35 then 19+, you want to add teeth to the final DRIVEN gear to slow speedo down a bit.
