Solenoid Throttle positioner(?)
« on: June 12, 2016, 06:53:14 PM »
Hey everyone, I have a 1978 Mercury Bobcat base wagon with a 2.3L with a/c and the Holley 5200 V2 carb and I am looking for an OEM NOS or gently used Solenoid Throttle positioner (thats what the Haynes manual calls it, anyway...). Mine is sticking and with the weather warming up, I have been using the a/c some and I noticed it sticks when the a/c shuts off, holding the throttle at a faster idle. If I park it for the night, eventually it unsticks but if I'm out and about, I have to shut the a/c off and pop the hood and manually push the plunger back - I've tried to find one online, but no luck - can someone help out, or at least point me in the right direction? Thanks!!
