Shipping my car
« on: February 17, 2012, 08:53:24 AM »
Hi everyone, I need some advice.  Early this summer I will be moving and need to ship my pinto from California to North Carolina. Can  anyone recommend a transport co. that has given good service. I am concerned about having my car sit on a lot somewhere for days waiting for some one else to pick it up. I realize it's a Pinto and not a Jackson/Barrett car. But still i would like to get it there reasonably safe.  Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  thank you very much!.............. ..John :)

I recently had a inoperative race car shipped from N.C. to Oregon.  Found a shipper via USHIP.com which gets bids from shippers.  They have ebay-style feedback ratings, so that you can ignore bidders that customers have had problems with.  It took a little longer than I would have wished, but some of that was wavering on my part in choosing a shipper.  Otherwise, I was very pleased with the entire process.

Under $1500, including the brokerage fees, etc.
