Dwayne, I know, what sanity? :P

Plan is to take the control arms, spindles, and brakes off the 79 and put them on the 74 as is to help make the 74 a roller.
So in a nutshell, can I do this by unbolting the control arms from the car (along with the brake lines, etc) and steering and just move the whole assembly to the 74, or will I need to take it apart more?

russosborn, I have parted many Pintos and Mustang II in my time and I always pull each side as a whole. I bet I could find at least 4 pairs like that in my shed now. Just be careful with those springs!! You might want to take them out with a compressor first.

Quick update.
I pulled both sides off of my 79 today.
One side came off whole, the other  side I could not break the control arm cross shaft nuts loose, so I had to separate the upper control arm from the spindle so I could move the arm up enough to get an impact wrench socket on it.
Otherwise it wasn't bad.
