Title: Rubber grommet on the 2.0 Cam spray Bar. DO OR DO NOT??
Post by: Crazy Lacy on April 01, 2017, 11:43:43 AM
Does anybody know for sure if I should put a rubber grommet when I install this new part on the 2.0 Cam spray Bar. this guy on youtube below says yes. It didn't come with one. I think it would help cut down on vibration.

YES! Install it. Its a must have or low oil pressure could happen. Its to prevent vibration too.

Thanks for the info on that, also I noticed the little yoda ear thingys that the springs hook to on my 2.0 pinto are aimed more toward the valve covers side, But in most google pictures i see, they're aming away from the sides, toward the cam. like in this picture. Are mine backwards???

My spring clips on this photo, look at bottom left of this picture. " Yoda ears facing outward" ?? I also notice my oil spray tube is really close to the spring where it got broken. In the youtube link above, his has a good space going on there, Hmm... Also I got the rubber gromet from a hardware store plumming area, will that do?
