Title: Rotten weather strip and adhesive removal?

So what's a good not kill yourself over it way to remove dried out and dry rotted weather stripping and adhesive on the trunk of my '80?

I use a credit card and some times gas on a rag. A lot of it will peel off if your lucky.

3M adhesive remover will work good. Saw it posted on another fourm. Can be found at auto parts stores(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170214/e4fed2bca4ab551f2a6c78cebd319e95.jpg)

Forgot will not hurt your paint. But be careful of plastic parts.
